How counselling and psychotherapy can help

Counselling and psychotherapy can be a very effective way of transforming the way you experience yourself and the world around you. Both can help you to cope with and make meaning of emotional distress and relational difficulties.

Emotional distress may include anxiety, feelings of depression, grief and loss, suicidal feelings, change and transition. Whilst relational difficulties may be around forming and maintaining relationships or repeatedly becoming involved in ones that are unrewarding and unhealthy.

It may be you’re unable to identify a specific problem, but want to make changes that help to improve your quality of life and relationships.

There are two ways of meeting your difficulties: you alter the difficulties or you alter yourself to meet them. Phyllis Battome
